Sunday...sheesh, that was a long day!
The highlight reel:
Tonight while taking Jake potty, we were ready books -- he has decided that he wants to ride in Doc Hudson, "he has a carseat for me" -- such a funny boy! I tell him, "you sure are cute Jake" and his response?? "Yeah, I know...I cute". Meanwhile, Cass beckons me from her room...a ball of drama -- tears flowing left, right and center because "she not (yawn) tired" -- ya, right! Oh, and Will??? He's already asleep...and has been for at least half an hour!
Cassidy was watching "The American Tale" (Fievel) during our free preview of HBO and she said that she really liked the song Fievel sang ... "Somewhere out there, beneath the pale moonlight, someone's thinking of me, and loving me tonight....And even though I know how very far apart, it helps to think we might be wishing on that same bright star" -- yes, Daddy -- it's a perfect song for us!!
Will climbed into the fridge to help himself to chocolate milk...played his little heart out in the pool...and tried to annoy his big brother in every way possible for most of the day :) They did chase each other around with "light sabres" (the trim pieces of the square, foam mat) and had some good giggles doing that :)
I took my Mommy time at the "Y" -- did Body Pump. Hope that all this hard work starts paying off -- soon!
It's been nice having my mom here, for one to have another adult to talk to but also to have a little bit of free time...even if it was spent at the gym :)

Cassidy turns FIVE!!
May showers have helped the craft bug get busy! At least with Cassidy’s birthday preparations. I decided to make matching outfits for Cass and her cousin, Reagan, who will be sharing a birthday party this year! It will probably be rare that we’ll live this close to family again for a while so we’d better make the best of the time we have here. And Reagan & Cassidy were stoked when we asked them if they wanted to share a party!
The Little Gym is taking the pressure off of us parents and running the whole party. We show up with cake and kids and they do the rest – whoo hoo! The pictures make the shirts look red, but they’re hot pink – a fave of both girls!
Cassidy is over the moon excited that tomorrow is her birthday. I can’t help but recall how e
xhausted I felt this night 5 years ago – we hurried around the house trying to get things ready for the movers to come the next morning (we were moving into base housing to get things settled before the baby got here! ha!). Having no idea that at 2 am my water would break (in the bed) and that by 5:01 a.m. we’d be parents of a petite 6#8oz baby girl who felt her due date of May 31st was a bit too far away! And for my first Mother’s Day, I got to bring our little baby girl home ~ truly an unforgettable moment. Our lives have never been the same and I thank GOD for that! Sweet baby Cassidy, why do you have to be 5 years old already!?!? You are such a loving,
caring and bright little girl – so tender (and bossy) with your brothers, so polite and thankful – we are soo blessed to have you as the little Momma in our family!
